Reading in the Modern Context - K-12 school franchise

Reading is a visual process. It is the ability to see and interpret symbols clearly with the eyes. We learn through our sensory organs and our eyes are the biggest contributors to learning. Humans started transmitting their learning, their knowledge and their experiences through symbols and it lead to the development of worlds to invest these symbols with greater meaning. Reading is a means of language acquisition and communication and of sharing information and ideas. Communication through speaking was closely followed by communication through written symbols. Words were a development and information could be transmitted through reading what was written. Writing is the process of recording information that can be read later. Reading enables us to create images that make or give sense to the written symbols or words. The corollary for reading is literacy. Literacy is the ability to use symbols of a writing system. It is the ability to interpret what information the symbols represent and to be able to recreate those same symbols so that others can derive the same meaning. Learning is the outcome of literacy and reading.
